The TD layer simulator
Transmission Distance (TD) is the one number that decides how a HueForge print looks — but it's invisible on the spool. Drag the sliders below: watch the same filament read as a pale wash at one layer and its full colour a few layers later. That's TD, made visible.
Low TD blocks the layer below in one pass (opaque); high TD lets it show through, so colour builds slowly.

Tracked filaments around TD 4.0 — good for soft blends & backlit glow:
Simulation using base-10 Beer-Lambert (T = 10−d/TD) composited in linear light — it predicts the trend, not an exact swatch (real prints scatter light and read a little lighter/softer).
