About FilaScope

Hi — I'm Jay. I've been 3D printing for years and burn through a lot of filament across two machines: a Bambu Lab X1C for fast multi-colour work and a Prusa MK4 for the prints I want dialled in. Most of that printing lately is HueForge colour-layering, which is where I started caring about TD values down to the decimal.

FilaScope started because buying filament was a worse experience than printing with it: prices that swing by 40% between stores, spec sheets buried in PDFs, and no way to know whether a spool would actually work with my printer — or, for HueForge prints, what its TD value was.

So I built the database I wanted: today it tracks 33,347 filaments from 58 brands with live prices synced daily from the stores, print settings, printer compatibility, and 7,987 HueForge TD values — one of the largest TD collections anywhere.

FilaScope is free. It earns money through affiliate links: when you buy through a store link here, the store pays a small commission. That never changes the price you pay, and it never changes what the data says — prices, scores, and rankings come straight from the tracking pipeline.
