A front-lit set: C/M/Y + a black key

Front-lit reliefs reflect light off the surface, so a black key creates the shadows and depth. For tonal work, the most important spools are a true opaque black and a translucent white that spans dark→light.

On an AMS/MMU, expect filament purged between swaps (a waste tower) — match the slot order to your slicer.
