What the A1's design means for filament
It's fast — filament spends a fraction of the usual time melting, so formulas matter: speed-rated PLA flows reliably at the A1's pace where budget PLA can under-extrude, print matte-streaky, or bond weakly.
It's open-frame — no enclosure means PLA, PETG, and TPU are the real menu. ABS/ASA will technically extrude and reliably disappoint.
It has the AMS lite — four-spool color printing, including HueForge- style work; any standard spool works, with profiles set manually for non-Bambu filament.
Hardened path on stock config — the A1's stock nozzle handles light abrasives, but heavy CF blends still accelerate wear; check the abrasive flag on filament pages.
