Thermoplastic · High-Flow PLA
BeginnerHigh-Speed PLA
PLA-HS · High Flow PLA · Rapid PLA
PLA formulated for the new generation of fast printers — clean results at 300mm/s and beyond.
Print temperatures
Nozzle 200–230 °C Bed 50–60 °C
When CoreXY printers like the Bambu Lab X1 pushed speeds far beyond what older PLA could melt fast enough to feed, makers reformulated PLA to flow faster and solidify quickly.
It's ordinary PLA chemistry tuned for throughput; on a slow printer it behaves like normal PLA.
Strengths & trade-offs
- Sustains high volumetric flow / fast printing
- Quick layer solidification
- Cuts print times dramatically
- Otherwise PLA-easy
- Great for print farms
- No benefit on slow printers
- Still low heat resistance
- Can need aggressive part cooling
- Brand-variable spec
- Sometimes slightly weaker than standard PLA

Did you know
- High-Speed PLA exists largely because of the 2022+ CoreXY speed wars — the filament had to catch up to the hardware.
- The reformulation is about melt/flow rate, not strength — fast, not stronger.
